Slip Below
RMIT Graduate Show Melbourne Nov 2011 Installation work Title of work: Shed charcoal drawing, ceramic, found object Slip Below was the title of the RMIT ceramics graduate show in November 2011. Under the title, Shed, Anna Rowbury exhibited three large charcoal drawings, a range of hand made ceramic buckets, tools and creatures displayed with selected found objects. Country sheds have left an indelible mark on Rowbury’s psyche. This work recalls the architecture of sheds and the commonly found elements within them, presented here are buckets, tools, moths, gate, dead animals, and collections of branches. These elements were explored and further developed for the solo show at Craft in an immersive space. This work was awarded a special achievement award from The Australian Ceramics Association. |
